Volunteer

Check out some of the ways you can get involved with Pet Tales Rescue below! And contact us with any questions.

Foster

Fostering can be an incredibly fun and rewarding experience! There are a variety of reasons to foster. Some people aren’t ready for the commitment of a pet, but miss having a pet in their home. Fostering is the perfect, temporary solution! Others may just want to have short term playmates for their current pets. Whatever your reason is, knowing you are helping save a life is a wonderful feeling. It is also possible to say how often you want to foster, what breeds or ages you prefer and temperament (high/low energy, etc.)

Adoption Events

Don’t have enough time to commit to a foster? We always need help at adoption events to setup/tear down, to answer questions about our current adoptees, about the rescue and volunteering opportunities. Adoption events are a maximum of once per month at either the Brenton Chowhound or the Alpine Petco. Contact Us if you are interested in participating!

Fundraising

If you like networking, we are always looking for someone to head up a fundraising opportunity. We take excellent care of all of our adoptees. Many come from shelters or neglectful situations and can sometimes require extensive medical care. As you can imagine, vet bills add up fast. Plus, a fundraiser is always another great opportunity to connect with the community!

Transport

Our adoptees come from all over and often can’t be dropped off directly to a foster home. This volunteer opportunity is one of the most important in the rescue. The transporter is that first connection with the shelter or person surrendering an animal. Without someone providing transport we wouldn’t be able to save any animals from euthanasia or neglect. Typically, transport times are set in advance, but there are occasions when it’s an immediate need.
